Mission

The task of the Texas State Trooper Law Enforcement Institute, L.L.C. organization is to foster a cooperative relationship with, Academicians, Criminal Justice Practitioners, Police Officers, Police Departments, Military and Security Officers. To provide an education in understanding theory, research and technical knowledge.

Accreditation

Law enforcement courses are accredited pursuant to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. It is possible to use these training courses in a portfolio to present as work experience for actual college semesters credit subject to approval by each college or university’s protocol.

Benefits

The Texas State Trooper Law Enforcement Institute, LLC (TSTLEI) is an influential organization that promotes academics and technical law enforcement knowledge. The Institute is Teacher-Directed; Learner-Centered; and mutually beneficial. The learner will know what to expect. We will establish the desire, interest, and connection to past learning and new material. The students will be introduced to new material and helped to distinguish between what is critical and less critical information. The learner will be given an opportunity to apply new knowledge and provided feedback of their performance. Emphasis will be made to apply new information.

Training

The Texas State Trooper Law Enforcement Institute, L.L.C., is business to raise the efficacy of police departments across the United States of America. The training courses are researched (Science-based methodology) and presented in two formats where academics and practitioners intersect. The Institute is Teacher-Directed; Learner-Centered; and mutually beneficial. Our mission is to identify and produce ethical and evidence-based method of interview and interrogation to improve the agencies criminal investigator’s in gathering admissible evidence and reduce false filing and uncorroborated confessions.

James Von Debrow III, Chief of Police, Ret., CHT, M.S., B.S., A.A., A.A.S.,C.C., Psi Chi; Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology; Forensic Hypnosis Educator-Special Ranger-Texas Department of Public Safety-State Trooper Academy, 88th Session; Federal Bureau of Investigation-National Academy, 200th Session;

James Von Debrow III is a United States Army Federal Veteran from the Viet-Nam era, and member of the legendary 2nd Infantry Division and awarded the Army’s Expeditionary Medal and National Defense Medal. James is currently the Captain, Company Commander, Alpha Company 1st BN, 2nd Regt, to the Texas Military Department-State Guard and received the Commanding General’s Individual Award; State of Texas Adjutant General’s Individual Award: Distinguished Meritorious Achievement and Outstanding Service Award (First Award); State of Texas Adjutant General’s Individual Award: Distinguished Meritorious Achievement and Outstanding Service Award (Second Award); and State of Texas Medal of Merit: Outstanding Service Award from the Texas Military Department (TMF).
